adidas Snowboarding Team Announcement
Yeah, no excuses ..blame us all you want, we slept over this one and you probably already heard of it. Not? During the last years there have been a few rumours going around about a possible snowboarding launch for the German sports brand adidas. Last year it was said, that big mountain rider Jake Blauvelt would be down with the brand with the three stripes, but nothing official came out until this point. Then there have been earlier this year rumours about Keegan Valaika leaving Burton for adidas, but again nothing official yet. Nothing until Boardsportsource.com came along with an official release by adidas, confirming Blauvelt’s deal, that goes over 3 years now and that they’d be working on a snowboard boot, but just released an aprés-shred boot for now (that got out this month). Besides that adidas said straight, they’d continue this year focusing on their skateboarding department, so that 2013 would be their focus on snowboarding and followed by surfing in 2014. Finally -two weeks back- they revealed everything and introduced their brand new snowboarding team to the world, which consists of Jake Blauvelt, Kazu Kokubo, Eric Jackson, Helen Schettini, Forest Bailey and Keegan Valaika. This is going to be interesting..
