Blue Tomato new TTR World Snowboard Tour Partner
The shop with the sketchy blue tomato logo just announced to be official Silverpartner to the TTR Snowboard World Tour for this season. Next season -Blue Tomato told us- they will turn to Goldpartner and then indeed replacing Swatch, which is the current main partner of the TTR. Being nowadays a quite common term in snowboarding, but actually nobody knows what it is, here a brief explanation:
The Swatch TTR (Ticket to Ride) World Snowboard Tour is an organization that aims to establish Snowboarding as a major global sport, while creating quality competitions for the athletes. Together with the TTR world ranking, it is also the largest association of independent snowboard events.
And this has so many advantages – the TTR Tour is not an oversight board in the world of freestyle snowboarding, but rather an organization that represents the progress of the sport and the interests of the athletes. Therefore, they work with the event organizers in the development of a global rookie-to-pro tour. There, the snowboarder is in the race for the title of the Swatch TTR Snowboard World Champion and can gain within the Tour important TTR points and thus move up the world ranking.
