Bonfire welcomes Laura Lynn Murphey to its Development Squad

Bonfire, originators of street style on the snow and long standing producers of high quality snowboard outerwear, announced today that industry veteran Laura Lynn Murphey will join the Product Development Team, based in Portland, Ore.

 “We are very happy to have Laura Lynn added to our Portland crew.  Her experience and dedication to snowboarding will not only enhance our product line but also add to Bonfire’s legacy of truly being a brand designed, developed and marketed by snowboarders for snowboarders,” says Product/Marketing Manager Amy Eichner.

Laura Lynn brings nearly a decade of industry experience to her Product Developer position and holds a degree from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in product development.

“I’m excited to be at Bonfire. It’s such a great crew, a smaller office where design and development work closely together and people are passionate about making quality snowboarding products,” says Laura Lynn Murphey.

Laura Lynn began her career with an internship at Transworld Snowboarding Business which launched her into sales at Atomic Snowboards and marketing positions first with 686 Clothing and then with Sole Technology at Etnies/Etnies Girl in marketing and team management.

It was during this time that her interest in product grew and ultimately she went back to school to study product design and development, which led to a pivotal internship with Volcom Outerwear in the design department and eventually a role in product development at Fox Racing.

Riding since the age of 9, with a DJ gig on the side, Laura Lynn fits the eclectic and creative crew in Portland to a tee.
