2013 Grandvalira Total Fight – Masters of Freestyle

2013 Grandvalira Total Fight - Masters of Freestyle

The season ender event of the Grandvalira Total Fight is back and bigger than ever! Thanks to the World Snowboard Tour, the Andorran contest that will go down on March 28-30 in the El Tarter Snowpark got un upgrade up to 5 TTR Stars, becoming so one of the most international snowboard contests in Europe, hosting a well recognized event that celebrates this year its 9th edition and welcomes a huge lineup of riders from Scandinavia (Finland especially), South America, Canada, the U. S. and Europe of course.

For the guests from next door in Spain, the event represented always a good and near-by opportunity to get exposure on the contest circus, since the Spanish Snowboarding game is unfortunately always a bit behind the overall flow in Europe. Fact is, that this phenomenon is changing hugely in the last 2 years, are you able to find more well rounded riders that throw down serious tricks on the filming side and the contest scene of course, that you didn’t find before.

As this is a year of change, the prize Money has increased considerably, with 15.000 € going to the winner, 10.000 € for 2nd podium and 5.000 € for 3rd podium, with a total of 38. 000 € being shared between the first 15 winners. The final lineup will be published soon here of course once the riders confirmed their attendance, along with a description of the Slopestyle course, interviews with the Head Shaper of the park and more exiting content, that will give you a in-depth look into this underrated event.

March is a great month in the Andorran calendar and the past events speak for themselves, could organizers and riders enjoy straight long bluebird days that gave the overall event the final shape and let everybody on side enjoy a really exciting weekend with good ass snowboarding, not to forget the After-Parties.

Last edition’s 22-year old Nuuti Niemela (FIN) could take the victory back home, kicking off the throne 4-times consecutive winner Ville Uotila (FIN), who became the event’s all favorite rider until then.

As always, the Andorran resort will provide exciting entertainment and parties, such as with the Electrosnow Festival, which this year promises to wow the crowds with the presence of Miss Kittin & The Hacker, plus the well known Detroit DJ Carl Craig.

As mentioned before, you will be able to enjoy more unique content concerning the event here soon, with up coming interviews and photo stories etc. about the entire event, so make sure to safe that date on your calendar and give the event’s fanpage a „like“.
