Burton U.S. Open | Halfpipe Semi-Finals
After Jamie Anderson (USA), already claimed the female TTR World Tour Champ Title her own, it was yesterday up to the rest of the ladies, to get as much points as possible for the final TTR World Tour, which will be over after this US Open. 21 women competing and only six spots available in the finals. Pipe favourite Kelly Clark (USA) led the semi-finals advancing easily to the finals (1st place), sending it from her home mountain. Also Hannah Teter (USA), had solid runs in the halfpipe, ranking 2nd.
In the men‘s semi-finals it was even harder. 39 competitors, fightin to get one of the 10 spots in the finals. Last year‘s US Open champ Kazuhiro Kokubo (JPN) scored huge with 96.67 and could only get topped by Iouri “iPod“ Podlatchikov (SUI) with an incredibly high 98.00 score.
TTR World Tour Champ 2010/2011 Peetu Piiroinen (FIN), couldn‘t unfortunately secure a spot in the finals, but he will be okay, being already this season‘s TTR champ we guess.
Today, the Slopestyle-Finals will be kicked off and get us closer to see, who will get finally into the Top-5 TTR ranking of men and women. Make sure to tune-in, when the webcast is on and follow the Slopestyle finals later at 15:45 (CET) on Metacafe, or Burton.
