Quik Pro | round 4
Finally, the weather conditions got their shape and are stable, so that the Quik Pro continues without any further interruptions at all. The appeareance between last year’s winner Taj Burrow (AUS) and Adriano de Souza (BRA) did not go as expected by everyone. The two pros hit the water on dead-low tide snapper and de Souza did an incredible ride, having got two really good tubes. Even though Burrow just had one of those, he prove once again that he is willing to win this year’s Quik Pro again. Burrow’s radical turns blew everybody away -and so- got finally the extra 0.1, which gave him the lead again.
Jordy Smith (SAF) and local Joel Parkinson (AUS), did probably give us the best heat of the day. Parkinson hit the best tubes of that round, doing carves and two cover ups scoring in the end a 9.67. Jordy Smith went more on safe course, scoring in the end a 9.17, which left him short for the lead (9.34 needed).
In the end it was once again a quite exciting round and we can be even more excited of what will happen next.
