SIMA Image Awards 2010
The Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) was proud to set up the 8th annual celebration for the brand image Awards to honour the best performing Brands of the year 2010. SIMA has established different awards in terms of Marketing, innovations, products and performances of a brand.
That’s a great celebration for the action sport and particularly for the surf industry, in order to promote the innovation and to make the market dynamic. All Brands were invited to this annual celebration from the smallest surfing brand to the leading brands of the industry.
„Last night was amazing. Not only is it clear that the SIMA Image Awards themselves have become truly meaningful to those brands and products getting the deserved recognition, but we also succeeded in adding hundreds of more surf industry members to the mix by moving the event to Orange County“, says Doug Palladini, SIMA President and Vans‘ VP of Marketing. „On behalf of the SIMA Board of Directors and our member brands, congratulations to all the nominees and award winners.“
We have seen RVCA and Nixon watch awarded for the best performing brand and the best marketing campaign, it’s really nice to see little brands making their success by their brand design or their marketing strategies.
Channel Island was awarded for their successful surfboard The Dumpster Diver, which was quite famous over the past year and created a real buzz.
