OFF TOPIC \\ Boom! Store Skate Deck Opening

This is a total exception, but we stand for local support and even though we’re home on snow and not on the streets, we’re sharing the same style and everything so get stoked on this here. We brought you some input already on the Boom! Store that we got here since a year almost in Germany now, bringing a fresh new breeze in our local skate scene and pushing skateboarding to the next level. Next level indeed is the right term to describe what the dudes pulled off this time. Earlier this year in April, everybody came to Bochum city to check out, what has been rumors all over the area the past months and finally became true and inaugurated: Their very own skate park on top of their store! You can access the skatepark via the stairs on the inside of the store and it is open to the public of course. Some ledges, some hand rails, a mini ramp and a bunch of more stuff. A damn big wall gives the whole place some urban flavor, featuring rad paintings by some artists and in the end is just left to say that the entire thing is surrounded by a massive cage as you can see below. The team of the Boom! store is looking forward to offer also smaller courses for skateboarding’s local offspring, as they do already now and hosted a nice inauguration event with good weather and tons of people, that wanted to check out that new park. Volcom was on-side so that the kids got their trucker cap print on and also adidas and rockstar Energy gave their support for that event, so that the wider public could enjoy some pro team skateboarding to see how it looks like when the bigger ones really hit the park. Overall it was a rad day including everything and everybody was stoked on that unique skate deck dream the guys of the Boom! store made come true.
