Hakkoda – Strong Winds & Snow Monster Mountain

Even though the ending makes it look like a pure tourist commercial to get more visitors, it will be probably worth to watch just to see these incredible snowy landscapes in it. Up North Japan in Honshu there is one area in particular that leaves visitors and locals stunned because of its rapidly changing conditions. Mother nature can make spots change their outllook completely from one day to another and even less and that’s exactly what makes Hakkoda so special. Strong winds and heavy snowfalls are the cause for these quick and often happening changes in Hakkoda. Locals and visitors see the peaks as symbols of fear and respect and this documentary explores the different seasons in this area, while snowboarding of course. If you see the teaser you get quickly the idea of the footage, with which these dudes play around, but no matter what: You see this shit only in Japan. We’re looking forward to it!
