RIP Scotty Goodale
| statement by Stepchild |
As some of you might already have read on the web, former Option pro rider and teammanager Scotty Goodale passed away this weekend. While being on a snowboard trip with some friends on Eldora’s Mountain in Colorado, he sadly hit a tree and had to be reported dead after transporting him off the mountain. Shocking with this sad meesage the entire snowboard community as well as friends. Stepchild sends their condolence, with which Scotty worked together and supported straight away:
„This past weekend snowboarding lost another legend. Scotty Goodale passed away after a snowboarding accident while riding with friends at Eldora Mountain resort in Colorado. For those that had the pleasure of knowing Scotty, he was one of the kindest and humblest individuals and was a positive inspiration to everyone he came into contact with. Scotty was a very passionate person. He loved snowboarding, skateboarding and above all he loved people. His eyes lit up whenever he talked about the people in his life-especially his wife and son. We have had the pleasure of working with Scotty for several years as our Colorado/Utah sales rep and knew him in his days as a respected rider as well. He was a real supporter of StepChild and put in a lot of hard work and effort to get it out there to the Colorado/Utah kids and for that we can never thank him enough. We will never forget Scotty, his huge smile, and what he did for us and countless others. Some people make the world special by just being in it. Scotty will truly be missed.„

Goodale is survived by his wife Jen, who is pregnant with the couple’s second child, and son, Asher.
