Gigi Rüf is probably one of the most remarkable and natural persons European snowboarding has, but not just recently. Riding since 1991 he is already quite a long time in snowboarding, being also since a long time a fix part of the Pirates and riding for Volcom. Back in the day he started with quite a few other pros from today‘s time, riding near his home of Bregenzerwald in Austria since young age. Today he is a father and still one of the most interesting and progressive riders in snowboarding. This season he became another new rider, proud to present his own personal film project („9191“), what was more likely to known by other pros, as Terje Haakonsen for example. Pierre Wikberg shot a really interesting profile edit about Gigi for Nike, where he tells us a little bit about his life and takes us back to his roots where everything started.
