Dew Hut Jam 2011 | wrap up
One of the most fun events? We don’t know ..one of the most authentic ones? Hell yeah! Even though there are more sharks, surf vibes, beach lifestyle and other things going on Down Under, there is also a small but noticeable snowboarding vibe in Australia. Due to the fact, that they’re living „under“ the rest of the globe ..weather is a bit different down there. So is the Dew Hut Jam, which comes with 3 TTR Stars, which is an Aussi rider invitational and goes down in the end of July, focusing on the local scene and their AU-riders of course. Slopestyle format on teams and a really nice course as you will see in the edit. $ 19’000 and 30 riders, who had mad fun at Mtn. Buller on July 30th, especially Burton team riders Chris De Campo and Jye Kearney (both 18 years-old), who took out first prize in the 3rd edition of Australia’s biggest team snowboarding event. After competing together for the first time in last year’s event, the pair walked away sharing a $ 10’000 cheque after narrowly beating out the Billabong team during the 90-minute jam session. Watch here the complete video recap.
