Quiksilver signs Tiago Pires

At the age of 30, this charismatic European surfer and leading figure of Portuguese surf sport has decided to embark upon an inspiring new phase of a successful career, which has seen him achieving four victories, qualifying four times for the ASP World Tour. He is rejoining the sponsor who backed him, when he took his first steps in the professional environment and a team that has always been close to his heart. Tiago leaves his main sponsor Billabong, after a 12 year relationship and his successful entrance in the WCT and surfing now in the European team of Quiksilver.

His close relationship with ‘surf brothers‘ Miky Picon, Jérémy Flores and Aritz Aramburu -all leading members of the Euroforce and Quiksilver team- is a long term thing.

We know that Quiksilver has offered Tiago a long time contract in order to reinforce the strategic position of the brand in Portugal and he may will manage a flagship store in his homecountry as well!
