The plan actually was to do that interview just before the Grandvalira Total Fight in Andorra (we reported), where the 2 BYND MEDALISTS were going to, to raise awareness for that contest but between travels and difficulties to keep contact the whole thing was done when the contest was over already. ShredOn Mag: Hey you two, what’s up ..how are you?

Kevin & Tor: Hello there. We are very good, on the plane to Barcelona right now.

SOM: You’ve been to the Snake & Hammers in Montafon lately and made it into the Finals, right?

K&T: Yep we did, it was sick!

Tor and Kevin spend a huge amount of their season together and turn snowboarding upside down with their edits and everything ..even themselves. Good times.

SOM: Would you agree on saying that the contest game -besides of the spin-to-win hype– is also having lately a new trend towards creativity and style again and what do you think about this topic?

K&T: For sure it’s more attention towards other parts of snowboarding than the big tricks. Not that it is anything bad with the progression part of snowboarding but it is good that the other part of snowboarding gets attention too. Like the Snake and Hammers event, it’s a really proper contest with good prize money and good riders with a totally different format. We think it’s fucking dope.

SOM: This is the first time for both of you to participate in the Grandvalira Total Fight, right ..looking forward to it?

K&T: Si!

Contests are getting way too „spinny“ sometimes if you ask us, so we enjoy it even more when seeing people throwing out Methods like this one here from Tor in Australia. Keep up the STYLE in snowboarding!

SOM: Let’s talk about filming. You 2 have been now enriching our snowboard entertainment on the web with your new series the BYNDxMDLS. Got snowboarding too serious and do we need some of that Punk back?

K&T: Yes! We are stoked that people like it and we will keep going. Whatever each snowboarder decides to do is up to them. If it is to ride with a coach all day, jump trampoline and drink milk that’s fine by us. But we are doing what we want and I guess it’s good for people to see that snowboarding isn’t turning in to any other sport event, though the Olympics is trying to rape that part of snowboarding… But again, whatever floats your goat.

SOM: How about the press at home ..keeping it stiff ‘n corny hating about you? You’re such a bad influence on us guys, for real..

K&T: Yee hehe they are crazy. But we don’t care about their thoughts.

SOM: How is that ankle doing by the way Kevin ..still struggling?

K&T: The ankle is 100%! 

SOM: Awesome. Is there anything in particular you two are really looking forward to in these next few months that are left for the season ..what is coming next now after the Total Fight contest for you?
