Windells 2013 – Session #7

Windells 2013 - Session #7

So, Windells is also done for now and summer clearly is facing its dead end, what only means for us that after all these Hood edits we finally can look forward now to all the full films to be out soon and the season to begin. Check out here the grande finale of Windells Camp and watch until the end for some useful advices by Coach Reed and read now some lines with Catty-Fishy words from Chus Truslow:

It’s time we reluctantly we declare an end to Summer 2013 at Windells Camp. As sad as it is to say goodbye, campers and staff agree that Session 7 was one of the most fun sessions to date. The schedule was packed. Windells hosted the first annual Narly by Nature skate contest and Transworld Snowboarding brought their new snowboard film “Nation” to Windells for a late night premiere in BOB.

Session 7 was host to a dual Team Takeover with both the iPath team and riders from Nation rolling through Windells. iPath riders Stevie Bell, Lucas DeBari, Kevin Kowalski, Shuriken Shannon, and Cody Lockwood kept campers busy by hosted a camp wide scavenger hunt throughout the entire campus, a game of S.N.O.W., and a high ollie contest.

The “Nation” crew, Dylan Thompson, Jonah Owen, Forest Bailey, Chris Brewster, and Austin Hironaka, were turning heads everyday in the Private Park with some of the best riding seen all summer. The premiere itself blew everyone away. Editing on the video was wrapped up that same afternoon. A premiere doesn’t get any fresher than that!

The most anticipated event of the session was the first annual Narly by Nature skate contest, Windells’ very first skate contest of its own. Some of the Northwest’s best skaters were in attendance competing for a $2000 cash purse. Due to Oregon’s famous unpredictable weather, rain showers the event was moved indoors, but that didn’t deter the competition. After one of the most heated sessions ever to grace BOB, Cody Lockwood walked away with the win and $1,000. Shawn Hale took second for $500, even with two hard casts, and Steven Reeves rounded out the podium in third with $250. Best Trick and $250 went to Michael Davis.

The summer on snow may be over, but the fun never stops at Windells. There is plenty of skating and BMX to be done as well as the return of Windells On The Road coming to your home mountain this winter. Stay tuned to www.windells.com, facebook and instagram for more updates throughout the year.
